Austrian strudel with cherries


for the dough:
— 200 g flour
— 200 g of cottage cheese
— 4 egg yolks
— 80 gr sugar
— 1/4 teaspoon salt

for the filling:
— 200 g cherries
3-4 Apple
— 120 g of sugar
— 40 gr cognac
— butter for frying
— cinnamon to taste

Austrian strudel with cherries


1. For the dough combine all the ingredients, mix thoroughly and refrigerate for 2 hours.
2. From cherries, remove the stones and leave to stand for a while, so they let the juice.
3. Apples peel and core, cut into cubes and lightly fry in a frying pan, adding the cinnamon and brandy. Then combine with the cherries and add sugar.
4. Roll out the dough on parchment paper in a thin layer, then put in the stuffing and flatten it.
5. Dough with toppings to roll them up and put in heated to 180 degrees oven.
6. Bake for 35 minutes, then allow the strudel to cool.
